On January 16, Barnes & Noble, which owns B. Dalton, closed the store inside Laredo's Mall del Norte.

Nurturing the Poetic and Cultural Renaissance of the 21st Century

Nearly 600 poems were submitted for consideration in the inaugural issue.  As publisher, it was extremely difficult to select only thirty poets for inclusion.  Our featured poet, Dr. Lorne Foster of York University of Toronto, was so gracious to write the introduction to this issue. 

I would like to acknowledge all of the poets we selected; Kane X. Faucher,  Diane Dean-Epps, Jaki McCarrick, Frank A. Possemato, JKS Makokha, Jason Joyce, Gargi Saha, and all other talented poets.  The staff were so moved by your wonder poems.
